ZachXBT names France's Crédit Mutuel Arkéa as alleged victim of $133m theft
On-chain investigator ZachXBT has identified French cooperative bank Crédit Mutuel Arkéa as the institution behind more than $133 million in suspicious outflows routed through exchange accounts, saying he is confident North Korea's Lazarus Group is not involved. French reporting suggests fiat was taken first and then converted to crypto through mule accounts on platforms including Kraken, Crypto.com and OKX. Kraken and Crypto.com have frozen linked funds. The bank has not confirmed the incident or responded to requests for comment.
