Tether CEO says firm holds about 150,000 bitcoin, above reserve-report figure
Speaking at the Plan B Forum in Lugano, Tether chief executive Paolo Ardoino said the company holds roughly 150,000 BTC, worth about $11.5 billion. Its third-quarter BDO attestation lists $8.37 billion in bitcoin, implying around 100,060 BTC in USDT reserves, so about 50,000 coins would sit elsewhere, possibly in Tether Investments. The same report showed $191.45 billion in reserve assets against $183.50 billion in liabilities at 30 September.
