Crypto.com to shut Hong Kong consumer app from February 2027
Crypto.com has told Hong Kong users its consumer app, run by Foris DAX MT Limited, will stop serving them on 1 February 2027, citing unspecified regulatory changes. A sister company applied for a Hong Kong virtual asset trading platform licence in February 2024 but still holds only transitional deemed-licensed status on the SFC register. The exchange says it will keep pursuing a licence for its institutional platform.
