Ethereum researcher Justin Drake sets 2028 goal for quantum-resistant network
Speaking at Devcon 8 in Mumbai, Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake said he wants the network's post-quantum transition finished by December 2028, a year ahead of the December 2029 deadline in the foundation's September roadmap. He said that leaves developers roughly 24 months to ship three further upgrades. The remarks do not formally change the roadmap, which is due for review in January 2027; StarkWare's Eli Ben-Sasson has argued 2029 is too late.
