Greece passes its first crypto tax law with 10% levy on gains
Greek lawmakers approved a dedicated tax regime for crypto on 5 November, setting a 10% rate on capital gains, down from the 15% floated in an October draft. Annual net gains of up to €500 are exempt, and income from lending or staking is taxed at 15%. The finance ministry says detailed transparency and audit rules will follow in the coming weeks, with the regime applying from 1 January 2027.
