SEC crypto broker-dealer proposal goes to White House for review
The White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs received an SEC proposal on 3 November to adjust broker-dealer rules for firms handling crypto assets. The changes would touch capital requirements, customer-asset protection and recordkeeping, covering rules 15c3-1, 15c3-3, 17a-3 and 17a-4. The text has not been published, no deadline is listed, and existing requirements stay in force until the SEC formally proposes and adopts any changes.
