SignalPlus hack prompts Binance and Deribit to revoke linked API keys
Crypto options trading tool SignalPlus says attackers caused losses of under $82,000 after an engineer's computer was compromised through a fake Microsoft Teams invite sent from a vendor contact's hijacked Telegram account. Binance and Deribit revoked API keys tied to SignalPlus as a precaution and said their own systems were not affected. SignalPlus admitted IP whitelisting had not been mandatory, pledged to reimburse affected users and plans a phased restart.
