Judge bars Kalshi sports contracts on two California tribes' lands
US District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley has blocked Kalshi from offering sports-event contracts on the lands of the Blue Lake Rancheria and the Chicken Ranch Rancheria, which argue the products are unlicensed casino-style gaming. The order follows a September Ninth Circuit ruling that the tribes were likely to win and that CFTC jurisdiction did not cover these contracts. The tribes must supply boundary maps by 13 November, and Kalshi faces mounting state action, including a new Arkansas lawsuit.
