Thailand files criminal complaint against Bitget, will block its app from 5 December
Thailand's SEC has lodged a criminal complaint against Bitget operator BG Limited, alleging it served Thai users without a licence between 2022 and 2025, and asked the digital economy ministry to block its website and app from 5 December. The move lands while a Bitget-linked company is buying licensed local exchange GMO-Z.com Cryptonomics, whose share transfer was pushed back to 30 November. Bitget says it is reviewing the notice and user assets are safe.
