Binance France to close customer accounts at year-end after missing MiCA licence
Binance's French arm has told customers it did not secure authorisation under the EU's MiCA rules and will shut affected accounts on 31 December 2026. Deposits are already suspended, and from 29 November a monthly fee of 0.025% of balances, with a 10 USDC minimum, applies to accounts still holding assets. Users are being asked to withdraw before the deadline, after which remaining holdings fall under Binance's terms, which may include conversion. France's MiCA transition period ended on 1 July.
