Immutable Chain to become an OP Stack rollup on Ethereum by mid-2027
Gaming-focused blockchain Immutable plans to rebuild its chain on Optimism's OP Stack around mid-2027, turning it into a rollup that settles on Ethereum. The switch is set to cut block times from two seconds to one. Withdrawals through the native bridge to Ethereum would take about seven days under the rollup design.
